| I'M BACK!!!!
Yes, its been about nine months since I last updated. Wow. A baby that was concieved when I last updated would most likely be born by now. Interesting.
So... where to start... I left with CLTC. Damn. Well, school has started (obviously). 10th grade sucks. I am in Dr. Ploegstra's English class, meaning that I write a paper every weekend. Yes i know it blows. I'm also in Joe's math class. I dont really feel like talking about school.
In other news, I am now currently S'gan of my chapter. I think i'm doing okay. I could do better, but I could do worse too.
Damn. Homework calls. Let's see how long I can keep this Xanga going.
Peacin out... | | |
| ok, its been a REALLY long time since I updated, but I've been gone for two weeks. I was at CLTC 7 in the beautiful UJ in California. CLTC = best experience of my life. I just wanna say to any CLTCers who may read this, that every single one of you has affected me and changed me for the better. I hope that somewhere in life our paths may cross again. I woke up this morning in my bed, and I didnt hear Mike snoring or Ari turning over in his bed, and i cried because i wanted just one more day.Anyway, I dont wanna cry again, so i'll sum up CLTC shortly: Togas; sleeping in the halls; dancing with Karina from Argentina; Minyan with Rabbi mark, I'm a minyanaire; BBYO basics; Linor throwing markers at us; Inductions (greatest night of my life); leading an international song session; singing up you men with tears in my eyes; Jared not being able to yell because he was crying; talking with Ari and Mike about chicks, alcohol, and pot; Mickey, the funiest person I know; Wendy, almost as funny; Philip, Lauren, Louis, Danna; Brandon's sunburn; John Lennon AZA #90210; passing a motion to kill the spider; steve's redneck hair; tolerance; kosher sex; the great thing about bbyo is that it makes jewish babies; leading the whole shabbat service; hug trains; come together, right now, in AZA; poker; the ARNDAWGG; sending the girls back to their cages; Mark always on the phone or in mike's room; and countless other memories... to Jared, Shannon, and all of the CLTCers, thanks for memories, for the best two weeks ever, for changing me forever. | | |
| Ok, I know I updated a few hours ago. But I'm having a really hard time sleeping, and there is nobody online to talk to and TV sucks at 3 in the morning. This is really weird, because I've been having trouble sleeping for few days now. Its really starting to drive me insane. I dont even know why i cant sleep, i just lay in bed for hours and stay perfectly awake. Is it weird that I putting this on my Xanga? Its just the most aggravating thing: being tired as hell, but not fallin asleep. I was hopin that if I just do something for long enough, I'll eventually start falling asleep. Alas, nothing has worked yet. Well, I'm gonna try and go back to sleep. Adios. | | |
| Well, I havent updated for two weeks. Why? you may ask. Well, I was in houston, where humidity and the tempurature are both 100. I was the there to visit my family because of my great-grandfather's 100th birthday. The most amazing thing is that, even at 100, he still walks, talks, and remembers everything. He still makes his own lunch, and reads books. He even travels with them (sounds like urs truly). The problem is he only speaks in Spanish. I've only been taking Spanish for a year, so I had a hard time speaking to him, but I did manage to understand what he was saying. He said he could remember things from when he was three. As a 15 year old, I can barely remember anything from that early. Anyway, my great grandfather was telling me about when he was 10, his father would make him read the newpaper for things about the war (WWI). He still knows all the details of how it started and how each seperate country joined in. He is, as Rijon so eloquently put it, a walking, talking textbook. Except he's better, because he was there. Then he was talking about WWII, he was in his early forties. He said that as soon as America joined the war, "Alemania perdió la guerra." (Germany lost the war.) It was amazing just to listen to him speak. I genuinely hope that i'll be able to really talk with him about all he has seen and done in a century.
The majority of my time, however, was spent with my cuz, ryan. We swam, saw many, many movies (Chronicles of Riddick, Dodgeball, The Terminal, Indiana Jones 1 and 3, the Fugitive, Corky Romano, The Perfect Storm... there's one more, i just cant remember), went to his friend's house (very boring, with the exception of that chick who was eating the chocolate icing.), watched more movies. First night I stayed at the house of my cuz's cuz, then I stayed in a hotel, then with henry, then with my cuz's other grandparetns (meaning not my grandparetns), then the rest of my time was with my grandma. The actual party for my grandpa was on saturday, and it was like a family reunion. Tons of ppl there.
Wednsday, I drove home with my dad who was coming back anyway from a business trip. He let me drive the second half of the way. It was awesome drivin down the highway at 80 mph. Since then, I saw White Chicks and Farenheit 9/11. That was a BRILIIANT movie. Frickin fantastic. It was basically a Bush-basher, but it wasnt pointless. There were things I didnt know about Bush, the Saudis, or Iraq that I learned from that film. However, I probably should wait to hear the other side of the story before I make any judgements. But the film was well made, informative, and still entertaining. My favorite was the last line, said by the President himself, "There's an old saying in Texas: Fool me once, shame on.... uh..... ..... [stares blankly to his left and right].... well, ... the point is he won't fool me again!" | | |
| Well, its been an aweful long time since i last updated. If there is anyone out there actually reading this, i'm sorry for my lack of updates. There is no reason why i havent updated, i just didnt... i dont know why....
anyway, lets see.... summer has consisted of... nothing.... i have been doing absolutely nothing. Weekend after Kallah, Lacher and Rabouy came over and we watched Kill Bill instead of going to the Kravitz dance. A great movie. Afterwards, we were gonna go somewhere else, but never did. Aaron came, then we found Andra waiting outside Zachs house, and then Zach showed up with the leveys. They all came to my house since I had diet coke for andra.
Sunday June 7, a day that will live in infamy... BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS! Both A team and B team made to to championship with ease. A team beat Lewis. B team lost by THREE POINTS to brandeis. Of all the chapters we could have lost to, we lost to brandeis. Between McKim flashing our free throw shooters and kids pushing Lacher around cause he's half their size, i'm really annoyed by them. Maybe I'm just bitter. W/e.
After that, Drew and Daniel came over to my house. We went to see Harry Potter. I was pretty disappointed with it. It was one of those movies where you have to see the book. Daniel didnt get the movie at all. After that, we played this computer game Drew has, called City of Heros. You basically make up a superhero and fight crime. You level up and get new powers. Typical RPG but very fun.
Monday, Softball game.... the advisors schooled us. I think the score was 38-9. It was ridiculous, they slaughtered us. I did however, make one of the runs and i was in this pickle cause i hesitated to run home at first. After a lot of running back and forth, i made it to home plate. Whew!
Tuesday and Wednsday I hung out with steven. I played Battlefield at his house. Then I came home, and played even more computer games. So far, my summer has consisted mainly of computer games. Between Roller Coaster Tycoon, the Sims, and City of Heros, i am attached to my computer. How pathetic.
Saturday night i saw the Stepford Wives. I went with my mom... i've lost all self-esteem... neway, the movie was pretty predictable, average. The jewish lady was hilarious.... "Or maybe i could use a thousand pine cones and spell the words 'Big Jew' on my yard!" " I love you, but please die'"
Today i helped my mom clean out the garage. Very dirty. Very disgusting. After that, I went to Philips house. Zach was there. We played perfect dark a whole lot, and philip likes to tease Zach about Bayla. Zach wants to run for RAG? I didnt really expect that one. Its cool that he's active though.
Now Its three in them morning, Melissa tried to trick me that i had put on my own xanga site (the one with the password), but i didnt fall for it! I'm not retarded! YAY FOR ME! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
